Come on out to the River Church fireworks tent across from Freddys on 350 Hwy for all of your fireworks needs. Proceeds benefit River of Refuge & The River Community Pool. You can also enter your name into a drawing for a five day pass to the pool. Hope to see you soon!

It's been a while coming, but we are now officially underway with the construction of our second-floor family units! The project began on Monday and so from time to time I will be sharing our progress. We are so thankful and excited!!

It's been a busy week interviewing new families for our program. We are in immediate need of baby beds and toddler beds with mattresses. If you have any that you can donate, it would be so appreciated. Call our office to make arrangements for drop-off. Thanks for your help!

Back in January, we shared a post about one of our families who had graduated and were moving out. It’s EVENT day for the annual River of Refuge fundraiser! Gates open at 5:30 at the Boulevard Drive-In Theatre. Looking forward to seeing all of you! Be ready to have a fun-filled, socially distanced evening benefitting River of Refuge!

Yesterday was a big day for five families at River of Refuge. They have worked hard, spent the last nine months living on-site, paying off and/or reducing the debt that has hindered their ability to find stable housing and saving for their future homes. They have developed friendships, supported each other, and grown together during their journey. We couldn't be prouder of you all. What a joy it's been! Congratulations to each of you and to the ROR staff who have walked alongside you, coaching and encouraging you all the way. You did it!! Enjoy your new homes and know that we are still here for you.

There is a little chill in the morning and evenings now! Fall is here and who couldn't use a lovely, hand-made quilt to warm the soul? Heartfelt thanks go out to this lovely lady, Exine. She delivered a grocery cart full of beautiful quilts she personally crafted for River Of Refuge families. Thank you so much!

Hoping all my local friends can attend! It will be great fun & support families who are truly working on gaining stable housing.

What a bounty of wonderful garden/orchard-fresh produce! Over the past two weeks, our families have had the privilege of enjoying fresh tomatoes, basil, apples and pears delivered to their doors. Thanks so much, Phyllis for the tomatoes and basil. Crescent Creek and Ralph, thank you so much for the apples and pears!

School has officially begun for some of the kiddos at River of Refuge. Meet Madeline and Michael, twins who are starting kindergarten. Of course we have to show you the back view as well as the front. So darn cute and proud of their cool backpacks filled with the supplies they need to have a successful school year. Thanks to all of you who donated school supplies to our families!

These crazy guys brought everything we still needed today to complete our back to school drive! Thank you Pastors Timmy and Gregg from River Church (pictured) and the entire River Church congregation for your continued unwavering support of this organization and it's families.

Somebody didn't get the memo! It's good for the soul to have a good laugh once in a while. What are the chances of two team members at ROR wearing the same shoes on the same day? I say these two have great fashion sense.

It's beginning to look a lot like a new school year around ROR! Thanks to Tiffany Buckley and Volunteer KC for all the great school supplies delivered today. Also, a special thank you to Dianna Poston for organizing the project this year and to Chacqie Chandler and daughter Sophie for their volunteer service sorting and organizing the school supplies for our families. Distribution begins this Friday.

Such a special day at River of Refuge! Sky Bloom Fireworks presented our organization with a donation of over $5,500 today.
