Good morning from Westwood Rural Health Clinic where new patients are always WELCOME! Working in the Westwood Clinic is Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Lacey Hawki...ns, DNP-C. Lacey was born in Thayer, Missouri and is a graduate of Missouri State University’s doctoral program. During her clinical, she completed extensive hours in family medicine and primary care clinics in the surrounding area. Lacey has several years of nursing experience in cardiology, neurology, & same day surgery. In addition to her doctoral degree, she is a certified DOT medical examiner. She is looking forward to being an active member in the community and providing compassionate, competent care to those and their loved ones. Lacey will be working in collaboration with Dr. Robert Shaw, Dr. Kendell Clarkston, and Dr. Laurie Clarkston. Come see her today! See more

Much to our dismay, due to the COVID situation in the area, MVHC will not be participating in Trick or Treat on Halloween night. We will have our facility bus at the community Trunk or Treat on Saturday afternoon. We hope to see you all there.

(Mountain View Healthcare) As the holidays will be approaching soon our team got together and came up with an idea for your loved ones to remain in high spirits this Thanksgiving and Christmas! Unfortunately, it does not look like we will be opening our doors anytime soon in which we know this will be very hard on the residents and their families during the holidays. We are welcoming and encouraging everyone who would like to participate to send a video of you and your famil...y to your loved one saying "Happy Thanksgiving, we love you, we miss you, etc." And "Merry Christmas, we love you, we miss you, etc." Play music, dance, sing, whatever it is to ensure we get a smile across your loved ones face. I will start accepting these videos from now until November 20th for Thanksgiving and until December 21st for Christmas. Kris Reese and I will be dedicating those weeks to making sure your family member gets to watch their video! Please email videos to [email protected]. For those of you who do not have access to do this but would like to participate we can arrange a day and time for you to come up to the facility and we will help you with that! Day three of MVHC Walk with Aegis Today was social wellness day. We tried some dance fitness this morning..Tammy and I enjoyed it..residents..not so much. We followed that with bingo. This afternoon laughter yoga was a blast followed by a wine and cheese tasting party and once again some share time.

Day two of MVHC Walk with Aegis event. Today we focused on Occupational Wellness. We did our flexibility exercise via zoom with Bailey Turpin, occupation trivia, word games, silly occupations and sharing.

Today ias day one of MVHC’s Walk with Aegis Week. Today we worked on our emotional and spiritual well being with some guided imagery, cardio kick boxing, self massages, and sharing about ourselves.
