Since it seems to rain most of the days we've been open this year, we'll be here this Sunday, May 23 and will be open from 1-4pm. Don 's been busy weeding, planting and redoing our once beautiful display garden.He will be working on the most difficult task which is redoing the waterfall and small stream flowing into the pond.Just ask to look at the work in progress to see what some of the herbs look like after reaching their full size.

Basil varieties will be ready by Sat.May 8th. Theses include Classico(Genovese), Bolloso Napoletano, Lemon, Lime, Osmin Purple, Amethyst, Opal, Purple Ruffles, Cinnamon, Greek, Pistou, Aristotle, Quenette Thai, Sweet Thai, Snowball, Holy (which is still quite small) and Cuban. We are open on Thurs and Fri from 10am-2pm with the exception of May 13 and 14, Saturdays from 9am-2pm and by appointment as well.We accept cash or check as payment.We also have a large assortment of common and unusual herbs and are constantly adding new varieties when they grow a bit more.Directions and more info can be found at www.redbarnherbfarm.com. Our only request as we open for browsing this year is that our visitors wear a mask if they are close to Barb now that the CDC has relaxed some of the Covid safety guidelines.

We've finally decided on our hours for shopping this year starting on April 29 til the end of June. Our Open House will still be on Sunday, April 25 from 11am -4pm. After that, we'll be open on Thurs and Fri from 10 am-2 pm and Sat from 9am-2pm. We will also be open by appt. only at other times. The exception will be on May 13 and 14 when Barb will have to be out of town. We do request that our customers remain masked while shopping as recommended by the CDC since social d...istancing is not always possible and we both remain in the high risk categories.Basils and a few other herbs and mints will probably not be ready by the Open House and I may not have lavender ready til late May.Hoping for good weather on the 25th since our track record for April usually means it will be cold, rainy and under a tornado watch!
