Please join us in congratulating Captain Rodney Phillips on a well deserved retirement after 29 years of service to Raytown. Rodney is a second generation Raytown Firefighter, there has been a member of the Phillips family serving the Citzens of Raytown since 1962. Today is his last official shift and we wish him nothing but success and happiness as he starts a new chapter in his life.

Thank you Citizens of Raytown for your continued support. Yesterday we took delivery of Squad 51 from Osage Ambulance, Linn Missouri and it is perfect. It is almost a mirror copy of Squad 52, which was placed in-service in the fall of 2019. Over the next few weeks it will be up-fitted with radios and equipment and then placed into service for our community

Yesterday, our crews were generously provided lunch by Taco Bell Corporate of Kansas City. The Fire District cannot thank the community enough for the continued outpouring of support we have received from so many citizens, organizations, businesses small and large. They’ve always been there for us and we’re continuing to work hard for them 24/7. We stand behind our mission statement WE EXIST TO HELP THOSE IN NEED.

Thank you Girl Scout Troop was 2110 for making us these stylish mask covers that help extend the lives of our N95 respirators.

Thank you Taking It To The Streets and Operation BBQ Relief for once again treating the Raytown Firefighters to an amazing meal

A loud thank you to Crane Brewing and Operation BBQ Relief for donating BBQ rib dinners for the pumper and ambulance crews of Raytown Fire tonight. Thank you ladies and gentlemen!

The Raytown Fire Protection Distrct would like to thank 1-800-BOARDUP, Lew Hendricks, and Marvin and the Folks and Breakfast and Lunch Lovers for bringing by lunch for our personnel. 1-800-BOARDUP has always been a good friend to the Fire District and Breakfast and Lunch Lovers is our go to place when we don’t feel like cooking. We will be glad we things get back to normal, but until they do these random acts of kindness sure are nice.

Thank you, Meat Rushmore BBQ and the Mahon Family. Your donation was more than generous. It was amazing that you prepared 80 pounds of pulled pork, 60 pounds of burnt ends, 6 pans of bbq beans and 6 pans of cheesey potatoes to Raytown’s Firefighters. To then to package this in to (4) foil pans or complete meals for each crew at each station (24) pans in total to avoid any cross contamination between shifts as simply unbelievable.

Deeply humbled, honored and just plain excited that Meat Rushmore BBQ has chosen to provide KCBS Competition BBQ to all three shifts of the Raytown Fire Protection District.
