Update on Fireworks display

Ralls County Route F is Closed for Emergency Culvert Replacement HANNIBAL - Ralls County Route F is closed so crews can perform an emergency culvert replacement. The route will be closed from Kingbird Lane to Ralls County Route C until approximately 2:00 p.m. while work is being completed. Motorists will need to use alternate routes.

Monroe City Tournament Update: Monroe City has decreased the number of tickets per athlete from 4 to 2. All athletes are now given 2 tickets per night. Tickets ...#1 and #2 will be the only ones accepted by the gates. Tickets #3 and #4 will not be accepted at the gate! Monroe City is asking that all fans that come in to wear masks, and anytime that they can’t social distance, to please wear a mask.

Add Your House To Our Christmas Lights Map We here at the Monroe-Ralls Newspaper want to make it easy for everyone in Monroe and Ralls Counties to find all the Christmas light displays in the area. Whether your display is big or small it should be seen by all. Send an email with your family name and address to [email protected] and we'll add you to the interactive map on our website. The map will be live on our website starting on December 1st so that everyone has easy access to find the homes with the best holiday cheer!

If anyone has any canning jars or other glass jars they are willing to donate, we would greatly appreciate it. We have some students who are wanting to learn how to can vegetables. We also have some students who are going to start making candles as part of their SAE projects. All jars can be dropped off at Mr. Gholson's classroom anytime between 7:30 am - 3:30 pm Monday - Friday. If you need to make other arrangements, please call Mr. Gholson at 573-881-1348.

After much consideration we have decided to cancel our fireman's dance and auction in February. We as a department did not feel like it was good idea to ask fo...r donations from our wonderful small businesses during this trying time. We want to thank everyone for their support every year.
