Monday kicks off the Kansas City Health Departments celebration of National Public Health Week 2016!! Each day of the week we will have a theme and invite the public to participate with us! Our theme for Monday April 4th is Social Justice and Health! The health department will be showing the documentary series Unnatural Causes in the atrium throughout the day! UNNATURAL CAUSES is the acclaimed documentary series broadcast by PBS that tackles the root causes of our alarming socio-economic and racial inequities in health. Come by the department to learn more about community programs that deal with social justice, catch the series, and learn how you can get involved in developing a culture of health in your community!
