It was six years ago this month that we purchased the 100+ year old two story brick building known by many as the "Tuttles" or "bill's plumbing and electric". We never did take the sign down! We had the nostalgic idea to return it to its history, "Kuhns store" was how the building started, I believe, back in the day when people shopped at little general stores, you could find just about anything. We spent four good years giving it a try and we met some wonderful folks in th...e process. I would have liked to see the store succeed but I would not say it was a failure. Yes, we are officially "out of business" but I think the idea of a community store where people sit around the stove and visit is not dead and someday we will long for that connection we've lost with the big box stores, all the technology and our busy lives. Thank you to all those folks who came in, sat awhile and yes even shopped. It was fun and you are a special part of the history of the building now. See more
