Operation: Art is lead by Air Force Veteran Bill Sowell. Bill graduated from the Kansas City Art Institute in 2004 with a bachelor of fine arts in 2004 and from... Colorado Mesa University in 2006 with a bachelor of fine arts in sculpture. He creates art as a stone carver, something he got introduced to in college. Throughout his career, he has taught classes at Colorado Mesa University and worked as a custom picture framer and manager of the Fort Leavenworth Arts and Crafts Center before becoming the head of Operation: Art. As Bill continues his role in Operation: Art, he is looking forward to sharing his passion for art with others and helping them find their own passion through art. To stay up to date on all Operation: Art news follow its Facebook page. Swipe to see some of Bill’s stone carvings. #OperationArt #VeteranArt #Veteranresources

The therapeutic nature of art knows no bounds.
Art is a therapeutic way to release the emotions and thoughts that we cannot otherwise express.
