It has come to our attention that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has reclassified the HCG medication we use in the office as a "biologic" and this decision will result in the ceasing of compounding of HCG on March 23, 2020 unless a decision is reversed or exemption granted. We expect that shortages will begin happening rapidly, and prices increasing quickly on what remaining supply of compounded HCG is available, until that medication is no longer available. HCG under ...the brand names of "Novarel", "Pregnyl", and "Ovidrel" will cost 8-10 times more if they are available. We have been using this medication in our office for nearly a decade now. It is our primary focus, and has allowed us to help our patients have an affordable route to weight loss, including patients who have lost in excess of 100lbs! HCG is also used with our Hormone Replacement Therapy patients to help them maintain natural testosterone production. 10 year challenges are all the rage these days. Every Tuesday afternoon, we give our Medical Patients a chance to start their own 10 year challenge. 10 years ago, there was no chance I could run a mile before a workout. A question for our patients.....what are your thoughts on an expanded, or extreme version, of our HCG program? Dr Easley has been working with numbers, workouts, dietary intake, and managing the correct balance to be able to do a modified HCG protocol with a rigorous workout program. This would be for select patients who are physically more ready for the program, can afford a higher priced program, and understands that the amount of weight lost is NOT going to be comparab...le to the number of inches lost, or the amount of transfer from fat density to muscle density. This would be a 120 day program btw.
