Congratulations to our very own Lt. Klosterman and graduates on graduating tonight from Northeast Fire and Ambulance with his EMT License! We wish you nothing but the best!
We were honored to attend this weekend's 34th Annual Missouri Law Enforcement Memorial Service held on Friday, April 30th and today, May 1st in Jefferson City. For the first time, in person, we were able to hear Officer Michael Langsdorf's name called along the rolls of other law enforcement officers who gave their life in the line of duty in the State of Missouri. Everyone was remembered today! As most of you know, Officer Langsdorf was shot and killed on June 23rd, 2019, ...while answering a call for service in Wellston. Unfortunately, the memorial service last year was held virtually and no one could attend because of the pandemic. Officer Langsdorf and his family are always in our hearts and forever in our minds!
On Sunday, April 25th, 2021, around 230pm, the North County Police Cooperative (NCPC) received a call to respond to the 10400 block of Trask Avenue (Dellwood Precinct), for a double shooting. NCPC personnel arrived to find two male victims, 22 and 24, who suffered gun shot wounds to the legs and buttocks. (Non-Life Threatening Injuries) The shooter fled the scene. NCPC Detectives assumed the double shooting investigation and it was quickly learned the incident was isolated ...and domestic related. Around 6pm, Detectives were successful in apprehending the shooter; Matthew Mays, 38, of the 5400 block of Robin. Mays, a convicted felon, confessed to shooting both men. Detectives presented the case to the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office this afternoon and after their review, issued five (5) felony charges against Mays; Assault 1st Degree x 2, Armed Criminal Action x 2 and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. Mays remains in custody and has a $250,000 cash only bond. Excellent work by everyone involved with the case!
You never know what you'll find when you're out patrolling! Great job North County Police Cooperative !
