Remember when I handed out free candy from Queen Caroline's during First Friday Weekend (pre-pandemic)? Covid-19 put a damper on her business, but she has recently started doing business under a delivery-only method for now. She just started a Valentine's Day promotion and has chosen a few things to include in her store for it. And she's offering free delivery anywhere in the metro. Pick out what you like and have it come to your door. Check it out here. https://queencarolines.com/about-us

I don’t see any snow yet. C’mon over to the West Bottoms and look around at all the cool stuff. Stop by The Fainting Couch, on the lower level of Ugly Glass & Co, 1285 Hickory.

The weather will be typical KC winter, but the stores packed full of cool stuff will more than make up for it. Stop by Ugly Glass & Co during First Friday Weekend, and remember to visit The Fainting couch on the lower level: fashion on one side, home goods on the other.

Check out all the new stuff for you to shop for at Ugly Glass & Co during First Friday Weekend.

Remember when I gave away free candy in my booth and you asked if you could buy it? The answer was No then, but now it’s Yes, you can!

We are coming up on First Friday Weekend. I know, it’s happening early in January. There’s never much to do New Year’s Day, but now there is. Come to the West Bottoms and shop to your heart’s content. There’s a lot of restocking going on, so it’ll be filled with new stuff for when you come in. The Fainting Couch is ready for the new year. The only things remaining from Christmas are a few wreaths at 50% off. They’re too cute to not get one more chance at a new home. After FFW they will come out for something more wintry...or even the booth’s first hint at spring.

Need a few stocking stuffers or a small gift for a grab bag? Try these coasters, which are now only $4.95. While you’re there, there are many other small-ticket gift choices. 10-3 today, Sat 10-4, Sun 12-3.

There’s still time to come and shop! Look at all the things you can find from 40+ vendors. 11-4 today. And don’t forget to come downstairs! It’s huge down there, and you’ll see stuff you won’t see anywhere else (maybe not even Etsy ). Upstairs is full of great stuff, and downstairs is quirky.

There’s more to do in the Kansas City West Bottoms than shop. Here is All Else The Sea, opened by the folks of The Ship. They have put tables at social distancing levels so people can come and not be too close to others. It is a new cocktail lounge.

Look at all this awesome stuff you can find at Ugly Glass & Company . Today stop by 11-4 and shop. It is less busy FFW Sundays and you can park closer. Over 40 vendors and 10,000+ square feet. Jewelry and vintage clothing from my booth is included in the pics below, and lots of things from lots of vendors.

Christmas decor is everywhere now. These wood Christmas trees would make a nice addition to your rustic holiday decor... or take matters into your own hands and "spruce" them up! Lol

If you’ve been thinking of getting a booth in the West Bottoms, getting in on the holiday market is a good time to start.

Here is just a small sampling of what you may see when you come shop during First Friday Weekend. It’ll be a lot more Christmasy, though, because vendors (including myself) keep bringing in more holiday stuff. I think you’ll really like the transformation.

This is what's so fun about Ugly Glass & Co. Jenny and Skip work well together and have fun. It's a real partnership. Have you ever walked into a family-owned business and heard a couple at each other's throats, so to speak? We all have stories, and it makes it uncomfortable to shop those stores. These guys are just the opposite. So refreshing.

If you're looking for unique furniture that will create a conversation with visitors, Ugly Glass & Co is where you'll find it. This could have been painted white and sold easily, but this is so much more interesting and cool. Look at the effect of the paint and the copper underneath. You're not going to see this again, so you might as well buy it.

With the way the Chiefs are playing, you could be cheerleading in this costume for quite a long time this season. Pretty cool retro outfit.
