Nixa Mighty Mites

REMINDER! Annual registration is next Tuesday, 8/27, from 6-8pm at the Nixa Park's Dept Community Center. Even if you register online we still need to see the player at registration to be fitted for equipment if rented or at a minimum we need to weigh each player for draft purposes. If you own or have your own equipment, but want the fitment checked feel free to bring it with you to registration. We will have people on hand to help with all of this during registration and everything we can take care of before practice begins will make the first few days smoother for everyone. Practices begin Tuesday, 9/3, behind Summit and High Point schools on N Cheyenne Rd, Nixa. Each practice will be from 5:30-6:45 for all teams.

Final Game Night! Thanks for another successful season. Hopefully you've been able to enjoy it too. After each game tonight we'll need to collect all rented equipment and handout pictures and medals. We have to do this as a team so it will be very important to keep your teams together after the game. We need to have all the mouthpieces removed from the helmets before you turn them in. This process usually works best to have the players remove their shoulder pads, place them ...over their helmet and carry both to the equipment truck. The jersey's belong to the player and can be worn after the equipment is taken off. The other huge key to making this process as seamless as possible is keeping the players in a single file line and grouped together as a team. Thanks for your help with this! GAME NIGHT! Our final week is here and it's going to go fast with back to back games to wrap up the season. Tonight's schedule is listed below, but again I need to remind everyone to turn in any outstanding candy money tonight. We've got to have the candy money accounted for before we can hand out pictures and medals tomorrow night. Games for tonight, Tues, 10/9, have been cancelled and rescheduled for tomorrow night. All games will play at the original time and location. If you still owe for candy money please be sure to pay online before tomorrow's games at www.mightymitesfootball.org. See you tomorrow!

We still have several, nearly 50, boxes of candy not turned in yet. If you still owe for candy please make an online payment via, www.mightymitesfootball.org this weekend so we can get the season wrapped up! Thank you to everyone who has helped with our annual fundraiser. The candy sales are how we keep the individual cost to participate as low as we have, but please get your final payments in so we can get reconciled for the year.

Due to the weather tonight's, 10/10, games have been cancelled and rescheduled for next Tuesday, 10/15. All game times will be the same as originally scheduled. Have a good weekend and we'll see you Tuesday!

REMINDER!! Team/Individual player pictures are tomorrow prior to your games. All pictures will be taken behind field #3. Lightning pictures will begin at 5:30 and Ironmen will begin at 6:15. Please be as prompt as possible so we don't hold the games up. All teams/players will need to be photographed, purchasing photos is optional. You can find the picture order form at www.MightyMitesFootball.org to have it completed before hand. Order forms will be available on site tomorrow as well.

I hope everyone is having a great week as it draws to an end. We need to start working on getting candy money turned in the next few practices. If you can get it to me this evening that would be great. We won't have practice next week, two game nights, so our next practice to finish collecting candy money will be 10/1. All candy money is due 10/2 to avoid issues. Team pictures are scheduled for Tuesday, 9/24, before your game. Lightning will need to be ready for pictures at 5:30, behind field #3 and the Ironmen will need to be ready at 6:20, also behind field #3. All players and teams are required to be photographed per the Mighty Mites contract. Order forms to purchase your team or individual photos can be found online at www.MightyMitesFootball.org.

A big thank you to everyone who came out to our annual registration night, but unfortunately there are NOT enough players at the 3rd/4th & 5th/6th grade levels to have teams based in Nixa. We're encouraging everyone at those levels to play in our Springfield park, Meador Park, which is located on the north side of the Battlefield Mall. We can transfer your registration, candy, and equipment information to Meador and get all players on a roster and ready for the first practice... next Tuesday. If you decide not to play, a full refund will be given after all equipment and candy money is returned. Feel free to contact me here or via email at [email protected] with questions. All 1st/2nd graders registered to play in Nixa will start practice as scheduled Tuesday, 9/3, at 5:30 behind Summit Intermediate School on N Cheyenne Rd. All players and rosters have been forwarded to coaches and hopefully you'll be hearing from them between now and Tuesday.

Tonight is registration from 6-8pm at the Nixa Parks Dept Community Center. Dr. Farr and his team will be on hand for physicals if you want to get it out of the way tonight. The physical fee will be $20 cash or check. Also, Mighty Mites registration, $25, and equipment rental $15 for shoulder pads and $15 for a helmet will only be payable with cash or a check. We are not able to process cards on site. Please have your ID available if paying with a check. See you tonight!
