Friends! We are so excited to announce the expansion of our retail/showroom space, The Warehaus by Nistenhaus Design, a couple blocks down the street in the Lemp Brewery! (no, we aren't moving; we'll still be at our office space as well with the storefront there with some smaller retail items) This new showroom location will allow us to showcase even more beautiful furniture/lighting/accessory pieces from many of our favorite vendors who we work with! In addition to being a f...urniture showroom, we will have the pleasure of featuring many local artists, vintage wares, and furnishing from an amazing assortment of individuals and companies (swipe left) For this event we are also partnering with @rubyfrancis.stl @mesahome -&- @potion23design for a vintage fashion showcase as a part of this event. So you can peruse their fashions, while taking in local art collections and embracing a unique space that is so iconically St. Louis that we couldn't be more excited to share it all with you as we continue to build it out and make it a crucial part of the Nistenhaus Family! We look forward to you joining us if you can next week, but if not this will be the first of many shows (but this is a great assortment of work and talent and worth coming out for). The upholstery group pictured is one of our mid range groups that is family friendly and pocket book savvy, the art is home grown, and the rug is a personal favorite from @loloirugs. (And yes the ottoman coffee table is just that - pulls double duty and can be customized in fabric and leather). On this Martin Luther King Day, it seems especially fitting to say that we must strive to find a path toward equality that allows for our country to continue to heal and acknowledge the struggles of those who have come before us, and acknowledge the pain that is still affecting us to this day. This is not a minor cut that a simple bandaid can address, it has been a trauma that still is in rehabilitation and requires our attention and sensitivity. To those who say we have moved too much in the past few years, I say nay...We have moved when the opportunity has presented itself for our business to grow into new territory, and with each new space we have learned valuable information about who we are and what we want to become. With that in mind, we are ready to announce that we are moving once again, for hopefully the last time for a little while! Our new space will be a collaborative effort and will give us great opportu...nity to stretch our retail/event capabilities. We look forward to moving into our next phase of our business and we also wish to thank our current Landlord and Friend, Ray Simon, for being a part of our process to date (and rolling with the punches).
