Will extensions damage my hair Ahh the question I get allll the time. Honestly the majority of my clients have had a bad experience with extensions in the past so I completely understand this question. The short answer is.. no they 100% should not damage your hair but let’s get into it..... The only two reasons they would cause damage is: #1 They are installed incorrectly. Yes this can still happen even with allll the extension education there is out there. Please make sure you are going to someone who is certified and has experience. (Ideally me ) #2 They are not properly being taken care of at home. This one is pretty simple but still very important. You just invested a lot of time and money into your new hair so listen to your stylist! That means invest in quality products, brush your hair (a lot ) and use your oil! I promise we want you to love your extensions and have the best experience with them. Extension/color correction She went from THREE rows in the before picture to only rows with better placement. I added a shadow root, gloss and custom colored extensions to completely match her hair color. As a whole she looks brighter, thicker and all over more cohesive. ... Thank you for trusting me with your hair! I so wish you didn’t have to go through all that but I am so excited for you to have new gorgeous extensions! Let me also say.. I completely understand that everyone has to start somewhere but there is sooo much extension education out there. Please be knowledgeable before working on clients. Tip of the day! This is for everyoneee but especially my extension girls and anyone who goes 3+ days between shampoos! It has been brought to my attention that some people didn’t know this so I’m here to help!! ... Shampoo your hair twice Over the course of 3+ days your hair has built up oil, dirt and if you’re like me.. a lottt of dry shampoo. Do you feel like you’re washing your hair properly but it’s not squeaky clean when you’re done? Well this tip is for you! The first shampoo can be slightly quicker, this is getting the majority of the build up off your hair. After you rinse, follow with a more thorough shampoo. Side note for my purple shampoo girls! Use purple shampoo second! Double tip! If you like to incorporate a clarifying shampoo in your routine, use that first! TWO MONTHS.. it’s been two months since I took a leap of faith and opened my own salon suite. The last few months have been absolutely crazy but you guys have made this transition SO easy. This truly has been the best decision I have ever made. I hope you all love this place as much as I do and are able to come here to escape the everyday chaos and relax with me. ... To double book or not to double book.. This question has been around for hairstylists since the beginning of time.. let me preface that one is not necessarily better than the other but this is my own personal experience. For yearsss I double-booked my clients and for the most part it worked out great, especially when I had an associate helping me out. But after we were able to open back up in May I went back to standard booking. Let me just say.. I will probably neve...r go back to double booking. Running around trying to do a million things at once is stressful and exhausting. (Clients can tell) not to mention I would get off work feeling like I just ran a marathon.. This partial foil and balayage tip-out took me about three and a half hours start to finish. I was able to check her foils multiple times and reapply where needed. She had my undivided attention. I want to give you all an amazing experience and I feel like this is the best way I am able to do this.
