NEXTECH KC is proud to announce that Legendary Rose Cosplay will be joining us as a judge and guest cosplayer for the first ever NEXTECH KC Cosplay contest! Legendary Rose is a huge geek, gamer and semi-professional cosplayer based out of Kansas City. Rose has been making her own cosplays for 5 years all while working alongside the cosplay community to arrange meet-ups and attend charity events. During these years she has won several awards because of the hard work and dedication she puts into each cosplay. Rose has had her work featured in international magazines and had the honor of guesting at several conventions across the midwest.

NEXTECH KC is proud to announce that Andy Soper Cosplay will be joining us as a judge and guest cosplayer for the first ever NEXTECH KC Cosplay contest! Hello! My name is Andy Soper and I am a cosplayer from Lenexa Kansas. I have been sewing for about twenty years and learned from my mom and grandmother. I have also taken fashion design classes at Johnson County Community College as well as theater design courses at The University of Kansas. Cosplaying has been a beloved hobby of mine for many years. My first anime convention was in 2011 and since then I have never looked back. Sharing my hobby with others and helping the cosplay community grow has been an enriching experience. I have had the opportunity to meet many wonderful people who have inspired me, and I hope to do the same for others.

NEXTECH KC is proud to announce that Baroness Von T Cosplay will be joining us as a judge and guest cosplayer for the first ever NEXTECH KC Cosplay contest! Baroness Von T Cosplay is based out of Kansas City Kansas. She has been cosplaying for 4 years and works predominantly with foam armor, special FX makeup looks and many mixed media builds. Baroness is also a professional special FX Makeup artist and enjoys teaching everyone the basics to blood and gore.... COSPLAY AT NEXTECH KC! NEXTECH KC welcomes family friendly cosplays to HY-Vee Arena and encourages cosplayers to take advantage of the unique and interesting visual opportunities for creative photographic product. Yes there will be a cosplay contest at NEXTECH KC. Registration opens Friday Nov. 8th at 5pm. You can register at the front desk when you enter the facility. Registration closes at 1:00pm Saturday and prejudging starts at 1:00pm at a room TBD in the arena. You wil...l be informed when you register where to appear for prejudging. The contest starts at 4:00pm at the Main Stage.
