We have setup a NLETC Youtube channel where there are resources for instructors. There are now PLAYLISTS with categories to help instructors find events related to teaching officers the various techniques. There will be posted good and bad examples of real life incidents as well as eventually internal training materials located in these playlists. Feel free to send links to examples to [email protected] if you have items that you feel could be useful. We have only ...begun cataloging these. We also need your help to get to 100 subscribers so that we can get an easier to remember link/URL. Please pass this along to other L.E. trainers regardless of their affiliation as anyone can use these video examples. Lee Richards https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIjPM5xU5POe-4GCcDwKNnA
Jim Lindell is 90 years old today. He is currently celebrating. Give him a call or send him a text (not sure if he does text though) and wish him a happy birthday!

I was able to provide some truth about the National Law Enforcement Training Center Lateral Vascular Neck Restraint System on KMBC news tonight. It is such a valuable tool and has saved many lives of both citizens and officers. https://www.kmbc.com//protest-leaders-want-kcpd-n/33334712
It is not banned because it is safe and effective method of control and has been for 50 years . The truth is the truth no matter how many are against it and a lie is a lie no matter how many believe it.

In regards to the tragic incident in Minneapolis that claimed the life of George Floyd, there seems to be some confusion in the news media about the application of force to Mr. Floyd's neck by the police officer. Some refer to the application as a neck restraint and some even refer to it as a Lateral Vascular Neck Restraint. To be very clear, the Lateral Vascular Neck Restraint System is a copyrighted system of the National Law Enforcement Training Center and we are the sole ...certifying body of the system. The methodology of this system was developed by our founder James Lindell and it has an exemplary record of safety and reliability for 50 years now. The Minneapolis Police Department is certified in and utilizes the Lateral Vascular Neck Restraint System. However, the application of force that was applied to Mr. Floyd's neck is not part of our system and we in no way advocate ever applying force to anyone's neck in that fashion. That application bears no resemblance whatsoever to the Lateral Vascular Neck Restraint. We at the National Law Enforcement Training Center are saddened by Mr. Floyd's death and strive daily to provide law enforcement officers reasonable use of force systems that can be used by officers in the service of their communities. Ten years ago, Mr. Lindell authored an article detailing what the LVNR is and why it is a safe and effective control method. I have included it below along with a very informative article about LVNR from our former president, Chip Huth. Please review them. We wish safety and security to all of our trainers and their communities and it is our hope that we can all meet again soon to train together in the systems that we know help prevent injuries and death to both officers and the citizens that we serve. Thank you. -Sonny Lynch, NLETC President https://www.policeone.com//why-the-lvnr-isnt-a-choke-hold/
Sorry to say it but we got official word from the Kansas City Regional Training Academy today that our annual national seminar in July is canceled due to Covid 19. We will attempt to reschedule for the fall. Stay safe. -Sonny Lynch, NLETC President
Sorry but this event has been canceled at this point due to social distancing rules. We hope to reschedule at a later date

We hope you will join us in the Great State of Texas, City of Henderson for a Lateral Vascular Neck Restraint Trainer Seminar in April. This is a great training venue and hosted by a great agency, the Henderson Police Department. We have been there before and they are some great people! Please join us if you can.
Ed was a dear friend and mentor to many of us and we are all better off having known him. May Peace be with Ed and his family.
For many years the Huth family has been a big part of NLETC. https://fox4kc.com//children-of-a-career-criminal-flip-th/
