Here’s how: https://buff.ly/2EzR4jg Over-policing in schools disproportionately impacts Black and Latino students as they are referred and arrested at dramatically higher rates than their White peers. This poses a barrier to the care they need and to a healthy school climate. And it diverts resources from the services, such has social work services, that foster student success and a healthy school community.
