As our faculty and staff return for the spring term, MSSU Global Leaders student (cohort 1), Titus Hefner had the opportunity to speak and help welcome back employees to campus. Global Leaders recently had the opportunity to take part in an on-campus escape room sponsored by MSSU Leadership Academy and Global Leaders.

Critical thinking/teambuilding activities.

October was an extremely busy month for the Global Leaders Program. We welcomed three featured speakers as part of our Global Leaders Speaker Series: U.S. Navy Vice Admiral, Jeffrey Trussler, MSSU Alum and DEI Specialist, Whitney Mestelle, and Mr. Shawn Askinosie, owner of Askinosie Chocolate Co. Each speaker created an opportunity for our MSSU Global Leader Students to gain insight into their leadership roles within their specialized fields and how these roles impact the world around them.

October 7th was a very special day for the Global Leaders Program and Inaugural Cohort. We started the afternoon off with a walk through of our our new Global Leaders Lounge and continued with celebration of our first cohort of students with a Global Leaders Pinning Ceremony.

MSSU Global Leaders are excited to host Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Information Warfare & Director of Naval Intelligence, Vice Admiral Trussler on Friday, October 8th @ 3:00 pm. This event is open to the campus community and will be held in the BSC, Phelps Theatre

MSSU Global Leaders kicked off the year with a "Power of Positive Leadership" Retreat at Sky Ranch. Students when through a two day training with Power of Positive Leadership facilitator, Edie Ingram. Each student received a certification for completing the training and enjoyed several #challengebychoice opportunities.

HOCO2021 was a success! Global Leaders had a great time building a float and participating in the downtown homecoming parade.

MSSU Global Leaders students had the opportunity to complete the CliftonStrengths Assessment and participate in a CliftonStrengths coaching session with coach, Mike Tobin. "What Are Your Strengths?"
