Is it actually February?! I keep double checking! We are offering custom applied gas again this year! The anhydrous is sold through Orrick Farm Service, and we are proud to say the price is EXTREMELY competitive. (As in, I'm not posting it online but you should DEFINITELY ask and compare!) To get on the list, or for more information please call Codi 816-204-5787 or sarah 660-864-3279.
From our family to yours! Thanks for a great 1st year!
Axis corn has really impressed us this year- this is a row from the middle of the field. Despite poor planting conditions, being drown out in some places, and only getting sprayed once, the field averages have been right around 200 with 160 pounds of N. Test weight has been the most impressive factor- 60.5-61 at 14-15% moisture. Call Codi if you are interested in getting your hands on some seed! 816.204.5787
Getting ready for the Oak Grove Tractor Pull tomorrow! Garden/brush pullers start at 3, MSPTA pull starts at 6!
It has definitely been a year of unknowns for everyone, especially this spring, but we are proud that we took a big risk and planted everything (mostly late)! We thought it was the wrong decision for quite a while, but we are very excited to see what harvest brings! I'm working on seed book packets for the fall, if you are interested in one, just message me your address. (There's even a surprise freebie!)
Just because your neighbor is planning on harvesting as much water hemp seed as beans doesn't mean you have to!
As much as we've learned to appreciate a good rain, I think I would be happy to take a "rain check" for that 3-5 inches possible this weekend and redeem it mid-July! As you can tell, from the level of activity at our house last night, even JuneBug is bored....... WE JUST WANT TO GET IN THE FIELD!! I'm sure you all agree!
Tell me I'm not the only one that gets excited to see emerged corn?! I KNOW it will come up, but I just like to see that it's happened for myself! This is Axis Seed 61T21 planted May 2nd- located at 50 hwy and 7 hwy. The picture is from this afternoon, but was up this past weekend!
We now have two Axis corn plots in the area! One is on 50 in Johnson County, and the other is north of Blue Springs on 7. I missed most of the fun, but made it just in time to get a few pictures- Enjoy! 21st Century Seed, Inc.
