Well tonight is the last night for VBS! Tonight is family night. This morning I sat reflecting on the last 4 evenings. It was such a whirlwind of thoughts. The kids laughing and chattering. The Volunteers stepping up and doing what needed to be done to make things run smooth.... I so enjoy this time of year when all the planning for VBS comes together and God Blesses us with a fun filled week of learning about Him! Without God we couldn’t do it! Without prayer we couldn’t d...o it! We are all tired by the end of each evening but it is a good tired, knowing the kids had fun learning about God! Praise God!!! Thank you to all the Volunteers, the kitchen staff ( the food and snow cones were great), Our yummy dessert and snack ladies, our front line people checking kiddos in and out, the room leaders, Pastor Danny our Spiritual Leader, the runners, the train conductors, those jumping in to help where needed. The parents and kiddos, and Most of all Praise God!!! See more

VBS night 4 Wow!! The week is flying by!!! Today was another fabulous, busy, fun filled evening!!! 56 kiddos tonight. The laughter and excited chatter of the kiddos is music to my ears!!! I pray the Bible stories, Bible versus, and the words we spoke pierced their little hearts and ears and they know just how much God loves them.

Sharing my Bible study this morning! Seasond With Salt Social media has elevated connecting with people to a whole new level. People share things that used to be private - kept between only their closest friends. But this new information age has people sharing the most intimate details about their lives . . . and the lives of others. Before hitting that send button, stop and think, Is what I’m about to send going to hurt someone else? Is my humor at the expense of a frie...nd? Will my post embarrass someone? Words are powerful, dangerous weapons and have the ability to destroy lives, which is why the Bible has quite a bit to say about controlling our tongues. In Proverbs 13:3, we’re told, Whoever guards his mouth preserves his life; he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin. And Ephesians 4:29 says, Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. Before speaking, consider whether or not what you’re about to say is kind, wholesome, uplifting, and Christlike. If not, better to control your tongue and follow the advice in Colossians 4:6: Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.
