Yet another #vwbus in for a tune-up turned engine rebuild, thanks to an amateur job last time, which lasted about 3 months. This time it will be done right with new heads, new pistons/cylinders, fresh GERMAN cam, lifters, crank, rods, and sealed up with German gaskets. Built from start to finish in house... New dyno numbers today from the turbo/injected/intercooler '60 Beetle! Made 150hp and 196 ft-lbs to the tires, peak HP and Torque were below 5,000 rpm which makes for a very driveable combo. This was at 15lbs of boost on pump gas! Still made 136hp and 166 ft-lbs at 10-11lbs of boost. ... This is only a 1835cc with off the shelf big valve heads, and a mild cam!
