Show Ready in 15 Minutes - Home Showing Checklist It’s an age old question from home sellers. How do I keep my home show ready while I’m still living in it? It seems impossible, but with just a little prep, you can have your home ready for showings in as little as 15 minutes with minimal stress on your family. Exterior... Sweep or shovel walkways, driveways, patios, sidewalks Remove leaves. Mow lawn. Trim all landscaping and shrubs. Place flowers or winter arrangement on porch. Remove all festive lights and personalized decorations. Remove bicycles, sports equipment from driveway/yard. Move cars from driveway out of view into street. Remove trash cans. Remove garden tools. Remove hoses and random lawn furniture. Turn on outside lights if evening time. General Vacuum, mop, clean entire home. Turn lights and lamps on. Turn all ceiling fans off. Turn computers and televisions off. Open blinds and drapes. Remove all visible shoes and clothing. Dust everything. Remove small area rugs and floor mats. Open all window and door coverings. Toilet seats down. Remove pets from home whenever possible. Empty trashcans. Turn radio on low volume. Remove dirty dishes, etc. from sink. Remove unpleasant odors. Freshen air with candle melts or baked goods. Depersonalize Remove all personal and family photos. Pre-pack all collections and memorabilia. Pre-pack excessive books and music.
