Great News! Our blood drive is finally rescheduled! Your help is needed now more than ever! Please consider joining us and helping to save lives! If we can reach 30 donors, Mercy will raffle off two $25 gas cards! Call or visit Mercy Blood Donor Services online to sign up!
Although our blood drive has been postponed, Zak Companies would like to encourage everyone to visit a blood donation center near you to make a life-saving donation. Mercy's Blood Donor services has shared some information with us regarding changes they have had to make, as have we all, during the current situation. "Giving blood and blood donors are covered under the Homeland Security Act for breaking Shelter In Place. We don’t want anyone to think we are asking them to brea...k the rules. To ensure social distancing, all donors are needed to call us at 314-251-4483 to schedule an appointment. We are taking all necessary precautions to ensure donor safety. a. Temperatures are being taken when entering the hospital b. Donors will be asked to hand sanitize before we start the donation process c. We have moved our beds apart to ensure space d. Cleaning between donors to ensure safety" Please consider donating at a local blood donation center. There is still the need for blood during this difficult period.
Unfortunately, the decision has just been made to postpone the blood drive until a later date due to COVID-19 concerns. Thank you to everyone who signed up! We were already at 30% of our goal and still three weeks out! We hope you will join us when we have a new date scheduled.
