Check out the next episode in my ongoing series, "The Problem of Evil." Adam and Eve experienced immediate consequences for eating the forbidden fruit in the form of natural evils. From the outset, God established that pain, suffering and death are the consequences for sin. Our conscience -- the capacity to discern right and wrong -- is affected by sin. Fear was another result of sin. One act of disobedience profoundly changed the human experience. On the next episode of "The Problem of Evil..." When God created the universe, everything in it was good. Within creation, lay the potential for evil to enter. When Satan tempted Eve, he appealed to her desire. Her husband Adam also gave into his desire, their conscience was awakened, and a natural evil, death, entered. Want to see the rest? The next video in my ongoing series on the problem of evil... The Bible says evil originated with Adam’s misuse of free will. Our intuition says free will is real, but some say it’s an illusion. The Bible teaches we are sovereign individuals, capable of choosing our course in life, and operating freely within the restraints of natural and moral laws. Without free will, we could never truly love another. Go to my YouTube channel to see the rest of the video: https://youtu.be/...-QjFV_xFObM Subscribe to TGS podcast: www.thegospelsaves.me/subscribe

Need a break from politics? The problem of evil is the most difficult question confronting the believer in God. If God is all knowing, He must have seen the possibility of evil. If God is all powerful, He must be able to remove evil. If God is all knowing and all powerful, why then does evil exist? Join us as we consider the Bible’s definition of evil, discuss its origins, and talk about the types of evil. Do you want to see the rest? This is one of my favorite exchanges with Tad. When we study science, we can be left with the impression that the scientific method is the only way to discover truth. Though the scientific method leads to important insights and useful developments, it is by no means the sole means -- or even the best means -- to find truth. Science has its limitations. This is the last question Tad and I discussed in our hour-long dialogue about science and the Bible. You can find the full video here: https://bit.ly/2HPTaNk. Those who follow the Bible recognize the role of faith. What often goes unobserved is the role faith plays in science. Don't agree? Take a listen, see what you think.
