42 new cases of COVID-19 were received between December 30, 2020 and January 4, 2021. Macon County has now seen reinfections where people who have tested posit...ive in the past and getting it again. It is important that if you have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past, you should continue to take precautions especially after your 90 days of immunity. We are unsure at this time how hard it impacts the health of those that are reinfected. See more

Confidence in a winter weather event creating hazardous travel conditions for Tuesday and Wednesday continues to increase. Here's the latest timeline and impacts! The biggest concern for the KC metro will be freezing rain Tuesday morning and early afternoon.
We have a multiday, multifaceted wintry mess coming for Tuesday and Wednesday. Each day will bring something a little something different. Pay attention to those roadways, especially on Tuesday morning and Wednesday evening. They will be plenty slick.
Ugh...I guess we're doing this because it's already begun to snow in many areas. Here's a look at updated forecast totals for today's snow. Light freezing rain... or freezing drizzle could also be possible south of the Missouri River tonight into Tuesday morning. Use caution when driving this morning and allow yourself extra time. Heading out on the roads tomorrow? Roads might be slick with snow falling much of the day (and eventually a little freezing rain). This is the first snow of the season, so if you have to drive, slow down and give yourself plenty of time to get where you need to go.
