Dear friends, If you are looking at this post then what is happening in the US Government could easily affect you and how you use the internet in the very near future. Right now, the internet is sort of like a public park. It is always open, everyone is welcome and, for the most part, using it doesn't cost anything to navigate and use it.... However, if the upcoming vote passes, the internet may no longer be open and free. If the upcoming vote passes... Our internet service providers (the companies who provide us internet) could lawfully speed up, slow down or block any content, applications, games, or websites that we use. And the internet could become a closed-down network where cable and phone companies call the shots and decide which websites, content, or applications are available. This could mean the end of the internet as we currently know it. At moment, letting the people in office know our thoughts and feelings about this is it best course of action as it is they who will be voting on the issue. Hopefully we can convince them that keeping the internet public and open is more important than what the FCC wants.
