Lee's Summit Parks & Recreation is accepting applications for the full time position of Recreation Supervisor I at the J. Thomas Lovell Jr. Community Center at ...Legacy Park. This position is responsible for planning, programming, developing, organizing, supervising, coordinating and evaluating comprehensive fitness and recreation services, which may include aquatics, athletics, youth enrichment, special events, community health and wellness and adult programming. This position will be assigned the responsibility of overseeing daily fitness operations at Lovell Community Center, Longview Community Center, and Gamber Community Center to include personal training, paid fitness programs, community wellness programs and other activities. Minimum requirements include: Bachelor's degree in Park and Recreation Administration, Recreation, Education, or related field required; at the discretion of the Department, directly related work experience may be substituted for education at the rate of three years of directly related work experience per one year of education. Experience working in the field of parks and recreation, fitness, and managing instructional programs preferred. Salary begins at $35,555.13 per year and includes a competitive benefit package.
