This session was insanely beautiful and precious!! I cannot wait to deliver the whole thing to Becci!! And they’re absolutely one of my favorite families! Dear Kayla, Future self here I just wanted to give you a heads up on somethings. First off, you’re going to marry Adam Locke. Yes, the cocky one you refuse to like even though he’s a hottie. And we both know you’d like the challenge of seeing if he’d date you anyways, so you’ll get your chance Stop shaking your head, it’s true. Accept it. You’re going to be Mrs. Kayla Locke Crazy right?! You’re also going to have a couple pretty rad kids together. I won’t give away the ...genders/names though bc that needs to be a surprise It won’t all be easy though. Things are going to get REALLY rough sometimes. It’s going to hurt. But you can do it. You both can. You just have to fight for it like it’s worth it, because it is Kayla. Trust me. Push through, love hard. You’re going to work a few jobs and hate having a boss everywhere you go (shocker), but don’t worry... You’ll end up being your own boss eventually. Which is tricky btw. You’re going to end up working REALLY hard Kayla, but it’s worth it! And not that you mind working hard, but it’s different with kids. Just, ya know, be prepared. Even though you can’t really prepare Trust me though, the shoe fits. You just don’t know it yet. You’ll be a family photographer by the way! There I said it I just had to see the shock on your face! No, no, I’m not kidding. You’ll be legit, like with one of those big cameras and everything! Besides, you’re going to LOVE IT! I know you hate the camera, but this is different. And you’re going to be really great at it! You’re even going to get to teach people how they can do it too! And you’ll get to travel to amazing places while doing it all. Dude... you’re in for a wild freakin ride. You have no idea! That’s all I can tell you so far though. Just know that things are working themselves out for you even when you don’t see it. Everyone show Ruthie some love bc I mean... dude Don’t ya just melt?! I mean.... how could I not post twice today when I came across these images?! Imma hang these on my wall and that’s not even my child! Honestly kinda bummed to be done editing this gallery, but I know Brooke isn’t all that bummed Also, that scrape on her chin... There’s 4747394 reasons why I love Brooke, but one is that she’s literally grateful for EVERYTHING and she savors the sm...all stuff. Every tiny detail is a blessing to her and she lives that out loud. It’s part of what makes our sessions together magical. To most, that big scrape would be a deal breaker and you’d be rescheduling or begging the photog to fix it. But to her, it’s part of the memory. It real. It adds to the whole story. I haven’t even gotten to go through any of my Sedona images yet, but I am not mad at all to be sharing one of my fav fams and a great friend of mine with you this morning! The amazing Abby with Abigail Derrick Photography! Sedona was UNREAL though!!! I kept having to tell myself We are not moving. We are not moving. LOL! And I freakin met so many people there that had moved from Missouri, or the Midwest, and they weren’t really helping my argument with myself ... UGH! It’s been a min, so let’s do this! This took an embarrassing amount of time too just saying. Turns out I think I’m boring LOL 1 First, basics: Hi, I’m Kayla! Doing life officially with Adam for 12 years. We got two awesome little, not so little, humans Maelynn (almost 9) and Morgan (6). 2. Punk rock lover ... 3. I don’t like chocolate and not a huge pizza fan either 4. I love all things color! My nails are always different colors, my hair is usually pink, and all diff colors glasses 5. I have a hard time trusting people pleasers. So if you are one and we’re friends... we’re a rarity for me 6. Enneagram 8: Basically I’m conversationally honest, and I have a hard exterior with feelings. The more I feel, the quieter I get 7.
