MOFB President Garrett Hawkins and MFA Incorporated President and CEO Ernie Verslues issued the following joint statement in response to the U.S. Supreme Court ...issuing a stay against the Biden administration's OSHA vaccine mandate: "We applaud the U.S. Supreme Court for following the rule of law and rejecting the Biden administration’s OSHA vaccine mandate. Every one of our employees deserves the right to make his or her own medical decisions in consultation with a medical professional, and we are grateful the Court stood for individual rights. As this case proceeds, we will continue to fight for our employees’ rights and stand against government overreach."

The state winner will be recognized at the MOFB Annual Meeting, December 4-6, 2022 and will receive a cash award and a trip to the American Farm Bureau Annual Meeting in San Juan, P.R., in January 2023, where they will represent Missouri in the national contest. It was an honor to see the joy on the residents faces and shout out to the hardworking staff! They were amazing!!

Today Santa and Mrs. Claus, along with some of board members visited Elsberry Health Care Center. Santa delivered each resident a treat bag, and we would like to extend a thank you to Elsberry FFA for donating fruit for the residents and Rose Acres for donating several dozen eggs.

Thank you to our members for your generous donations. The board has put all the items together in bags to be delivered by Santa later this week.

While our President, Jason Vandivort and board were not able to go on stage and accept their award we would like to congratulate them on winning first place for their county Thank a Farmer week special project. For several years the county board has hosted a coloring contest for students in the county and provided various prizes. This year the winning class won a popcorn party and a visit from first generation popcorn farmer Gavin Spoor Special thank you to Tina Schieffer Phillips who assisted the board with this and many projects.
