Happy Holidays from everyone here at the City of Kirksville Parks and Recreation Department! We will be closed on Thursday, December 24th and Friday, December 25th. We will reopen on Monday, December 28th.

The City of #Kirksville and Truman State University's Kohlenberg Lyceum Series Committee have partnered to broadcast tomorrow's performance on Channel 56 for Sp...arklight customers! Join us (virtually) on December 17, 2020, at 7:00 pm as Dominic Armstrong brings a joyous concert celebrating Beethoven’s 250th birthday and the holiday season. Dominic will be joined by his wife, soprano Ashley Emerson, as well as other musician friends. Santa has been busy this week responding to all of the wonderful letters and e-mails that he has received. If your child would like a personalized letter from Santa this year, you can e-mail a letter directly to him at [email protected] and Santa will respond to every letter he receives via e-mail or mail. We will also be working with the Kirksville school district to accept handwritten letters using our mailbox located at the Kirksville Primary school. We do ask tha...t you include: Name of school Name of teacher and grade Student’s name A few things that the child would like for Christmas All letters to Santa should be submitted no later than December 17, 2020 to guarantee Santa’s ability to respond before winter break. "The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, In the hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there" The City of #Kirksville and the #Kiwanis Club of Kirksville have partnered to present the ninth annual Kirksville Kiwanis TRAVELING #Christmas Parade! Instead of a large parade gathering in Downtown Kirksville, Santa Claus and his elves will be traveling throughout Kirksville’s neighborhoods on Saturday, December 5, and Sunday, December 6, 2020, between 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm! ...On Saturday, December 5, the parade will travel through the northern half of town. On Sunday, December 6, the parade will travel through the southern half of town.
