Since coming to St. Louis, Robert has also appeared with local organizations like the St. Louis Ballet and performed for two summers with the Opera Theatre of St. Louis where he was part of the original cast of the world premiere opera, "Fire Shut Up In My Bones". He has taught for numerous dance studios across St. Louis and Illinois as well as throughout the South East and his choreography has been seen on several dance companies throughout the years. In February of 2019, R...obert co founded Ballet 314, St. Louis' newest ballet company, and serves as Co-Artistic Director with Rachel Bodi. Ballet 314's mission is to celebrate local talent in the community and to start showcasing diversity in the classical dance arts. We are throwing it WAY back to 1904 for #TBT! Check out these impressive stats for the Observation Wheel from the World’s Fair hosted in Forest Park here in St. Louis. The Wheel stood 264 feet high and boasted 36 passenger cars. Each car could accommodate 60 people standing or 40 people seated and hold up to 2,160 people total as it completed 4 rotations per hour. The new St. Louis Wheel located at Union Station stands 200 feet tall and carries 42 climate controlled gondolas that provide 360 views of the St. Louis skyline. What a difference 100 years makes.
