I've said it before, and i'll say it again: 2021 is the year of special moments and unique situations! I was approached unexpectedly last week to help out Jenny Tobaben and Alex Tobaben by taking a few portraits of them as they continue their journey of growing their family by adoption. I'm always surprised how my creative skills are put to the test as time goes by. Thank you to these two for welcoming me into your home, and thank you Will Carter for the introduction. Wedding season kicked off last weekend and we finally got to celebrate the union of Kayla and Blake! What should have happened a year prior, fell on their 1-year anniversary and I don't think we could have asked for a better day surrounded by friends and family. Congrats, you made it! 2021 has become the year of special moments. COVID changed our plans and sometimes life can get in the way and turn our world upside down. "I'm not nervous at all. I'm just really excited" - That's what I remember hearing from Brittany before she walked down the aisle. I also remember how they both mentioned it snowed when they got engaged, and I kid you not it started to snow (albeit briefly) during a few quick shots in the street. Life has a weird and beautiful way of working out sometimes. Cheers to the newlyweds!

Part 1 of wedding #1 of 2021 (what a mouthful) wrapped yesterday and can’t wait to share it with you! This room in Flander Hall immediately caught my eye and this old warehouse has so many knooks to get lost in. Gorgeous.
