April Newsletter-Leader in Me at Whiteman Elementary Habit 6-Synergize-Together is Better! Here are the characteristics of Habit 6: Teamwork Makes the Dream Work! * I get along well with other people and work well in groups... * I value the strengths of others and allow myself to learn from them. * I know that by working together as a team we can get more done and come up with better solutions than we could alone. *I try to understand other people’s views and feelings, even if they are different from my own. Anytime we work with others we get to share ideas, come up with solutions, and learn the importance of establishing effective team work. Synergizing allows individuals to put their brains together and come up with a final product that everyone is happy with! Communicating the importance of habit 6 synergize to children creates a strong foundation for them to be more willing to work on a team with others and to learn from other people’s perspectives. We can see synergize in action almost every day! We see it in sports, schools, hospitals, law enforcement, and within the games children play with each other! Encourage your child to participate in family activities in which you have to work as a team to complete a task to further practice the ideals within habit 6 synergize!
