We can't think of a better time to announce a recent shift we made in our efforts to become better stewards of the environment than this Earth Day. When the Kent's team became aware of the darker parts of the jewelry industry, we decided action was needed. Earlier this year, Kent Jewelry became the first among jewelers in Missouri to become Fairmined Certified, meaning all of the gold that we use in our casting will be used from small and artisanal scale mines that pay their ...employees fair wages, utilize safe and mercury-free mining practices, and circumvent the drug trade that nearly 90% of all new mined gold is part of. We are very excited to announce that all custom jewelry that Kent Jewelry produces will now be cast using Fairmined materials. Using an ultrasonic cleaner and then steaming ensures your pieces will be sparkling clean. Moreover, we check the settings and stones on all pieces we clean. If anything is loose or in need of repair we let you know before it becomes a major problem.
