Kenrick-Glennon Seminary 14.02.2021

Hello! My name is Mark Echele. Before coming to seminary I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering from Missouri S&T. I took a good job in Overland Park, KS and even bought my own condo out there. Less than a year into the new job, I felt the call to go to seminary. During Eucharistic Adoration on a men's retreat while looking at the painting of Christ and the Rich Young Ruler by Heinrich Hoffmann, I felt Jesus was calling me to console the sorrowful heart of Mary by ...entering the seminary. I quit my job, sold my condo, and now I'm here! I must give a shout out to the Rolla Catholic Newman Center and all the friends I made there. It was this college community that really got my faith to blossom. I like playing sports and anything else that is competitive. Since coming to seminary, I have especially picked up a liking for chess. *Mark is in our first year Pre-Theology Program and is from the Archdiocese of Saint Louis.
