We have received notice that an unknown company is calling Kennett businesses and attempting to sell advertisements on a City/County map. As a result we have communicated with City staff and County officials today and found no knowledge of a map project at this time. Businesses should proceed with caution. Kennett Chamber of Commerce, Dunklin County and the City of Kennett are not working on a map. We will update if we find that any official city or county office is producing a map. Businesses can always reach out to our office if you have questions about solicitors.

FWM is calling this Christmas "The Cardboard Christmas" as we anticipate a large amount of cardboard in our customer trash. We want to try a new thing and need... at least a little help from you. We ask that, starting Nov. 23 and running through the end of 2020, you break down your cardboard and leave it piled next to your trash. We will make a separate run on each route day and remove the cardboard separate from your household waste and deliver it to the Cottonboll Sheltered Workshop who already have a recycling program in place. Less cardboard in the landfill, more money with less effort for CSW and only a little effort on your part ( and ours). A nice way to end a year we might otherwise choose to forget. We look forward to removing the mountain of cardboard the holidays are bound to create. Thanks in advance for your help.

Due to t...he Covid virus and increasing number of cases, the club felt it necessary for everyone's safety that we take this action. We do hope that all our vendors will continue to support us as we plan to have our Bazaar next year on Saturday, December 4, 2021. Approximately 2:49 PM on today's ...10/16/2020 Major Groves lost his battle with COVID-19. Major Groves began his career with the Kennett Police Department on January 1, 1985, Rick has served the citizens of Kennett for the past 35 years. The Dunklin County quilt block was created by Virginia Smith. The Ely-Walker Scrap Quilt made by Bertie Blanchard and other quilts by Margee Andrews, Bill Hook, Virginia Smith, & Jeanette Wright (former Malden librarian) will be displayed, too.
