Waking up to work out at 5:15 is hard. Really hard. Most people wouldn’t do it. Amy does it, along with a handful of other people. 5:15am workouts are full of tired people who know their priorities. Goal setting is so incredibly important. But more important than the goal, is the way the goal is set. The WHY behind the goal and the HOW to achieve it. All goals aren’t created equal, and some of the best set goals are met with unfavorable outcomes. If you’ve ever had a weight loss goal and failed to achieve it, ask yourself, Was I trying to get healthy or just lose some weight? Those who’ve been successful almost always strive to get healthy - and then begin to lose weight. This week, write down your goals and seek out a mentor or a coach to review those goals with you next week. Or, if you don’t consider yourself good at goal setting, sign up for one of the workshops this week. We’ll help you get started the right way!

Have you ever thought of your life as a story? One big movie & you’re the main character; the hero. Think about your all-time favorite movies and think about the hero. What did they have to overcome? How did they do it? Who else was important in their story? This week, spend a couple minutes thinking about these heroes. Now, put yourself in the shoes of a main character - the main character of YOUR story and YOU are the hero! What do you need to do next? What’s your next obs...tacle? Who do you need help from? And how will you not give up? You get to author your own story. So start writing. Don’t give up. Spend 5 minutes journaling your story today. Be the hero! #gratitudeandgrit

For some strange reason American’s have chosen the scale as their favorite way to track progress around their health. People derive their sense of self worth based on the number facing up at them from between their feet. If you’re someone who draws any sort of emotional reaction, positive or negative, from the scale then you may want to self reflect and consider if there are better options out there.
