Hood UMC Quilting team has been sewing away on bags but we need to get some help! Lots of people are on vacation or healing from surgeries! Please let us know if you’d like to get involved! We can get you a patten, tutorial or you can join the group at their meeting and be part of this amazing ministry!

Can one of our Hood UMC Quilters please share the dimensions on this bag so others can start sewing them as well! This is the bag that we are using as New Mom/Baby combo bag that goes to Jordan Valley here in Republic!

Sewing tutorial for Bags of Love hygiene bags by the amazing Alice Hoffman!

This is the bag we are providing Moms/babies through Jordan Valley. They will contain a basic hygiene bag, deodorant, hairbrush, lotion, feminine hygiene items and chapstick for the mother along with wipes, baby wash and cloth, a stuffed animal or blanket and a storybook for the child. Sometimes we may have the opportunity to add in additional fun items for Mom’s such as inspirational bookmarks, stationary ect. If you’d like to donate any of these items, there is a drop box at Hines St Pharmacy, Hood UMC, or comment here and we will arrange a pick up. The only thing we don’t need right now are stuffed animals and children’s books. These bags will go out at Jordan Valley in Republic and will be shared with new mom there for services.
