After several weeks of rotating shifts and limiting the number of team members in the office at Kaiser Electric, we have decided to end our work from home requirement and bring the team back together in the office in order to better serve our valued customers and to be able to collaborate more closely in preparation for our upcoming backlog of work. Of course, this decision was not taken lightly and much precaution and planning were done beforehand in order to do everything possible to keep our team members safe and healthy. Glad to be back together! We missed everyone!! BTW, We miss the Blues Too!

In March, Kaiser Electric teamed up with Murphy Company to help our health care providers at SSM Health DePaul Hospital stay safe, while they provide exceptional care to all the patients infected with COVID-19, by converting 16 ICU rooms from normal airflow to negative pressure in a matter of hours. These rooms are imperative to contain airborne contaminants, such as COVID-19, and prevent the contaminants from drifting to other areas. In early April, as this devasting vir...us continued to infect more patients, an additional 18 ICU rooms were needed to be converted to negative pressure and the Kaiser and Murphy teams were called upon again to answer the bell. Shout out to the Kaiser team that went above and beyond to make this happen; Nathan Haas, Project Manager, Jason Geist, Damon Hoffman, Mike Semar, John Voss, Jake Fredrich, and Rick Gidden. As the testimonials below show, we continue to work hard for our customers, no matter how difficult the task or circumstance. Thank you to Ellis Hawkins, President, SSM Health DePaul Hospital and Kelly Pearce, Incident Commander and Vice President, Hospital Operations, SSM Health DePaul Hospital for your continued trust in our Team. From March 23, 2020 I want to pass on my personal gratitude as the incident commander for DePaul Hospital as well as from the perspective of my ICU nursing background for the work your teams did for us last night. From the time we said go around 1645 yesterday afternoon, Jim Wesling and others from Murphy and Kaiser were able to convert 16 ICU rooms from normal airflow to negative pressure by 0430 this morning. Their actions have made it safer for our staff and providers to care for patients infected with COVID-19 and to provide more peace of mind to the staff working through this very turbulent situation. Please accept my sincere thanks to each of them and to your organizations. Respectfully, Kelly Pearce, MHA, RN, FACHE I just want to add a personal ditto! This is why relationships and trust matter with our construction industry vendors! Amazing response, thank you, thank you, thank you! Ellis Hawkins From April 6, 2020 It seems like your teams are making a habit of going above and beyond to help us deliver exceptional health care services and to keep our staff and providers as safe as possible. Since Wednesday of last week your teams along with our plant ops leadership worked together to make an additional 18 ICU rooms negative pressure. As I understand it, there were a number of hurdles that your folks had to clear to make it happen, but did so with a lot of perseverance. Please accept my gratitude on behalf of our leadership, staff, and providers to make that happen so quickly. Sincerely, Kelly Pearce, MHA, RN, FACHE Well stated Kelly! I want to add my heartfelt thanks to this group as well. One word keeps coming to mind. TENACITY! Ellis Hawkins

The Kaiser Team was once again commended by SSM for their outstanding dedication, professionalism and attention to detail. The ATS at SLU Hospital suffered an arc-flash and was on its way to a final blow-up. Because our great relationship and trust, the SLU MEP Manager called our team. The shut-down of the critical ATS was performed perfectly and the 43 year-old ATS looks good as new. Great job John Matt, David Kaiser and John Meyer, our electricians, and our Project Manager Dennis Harter.

At Kaiser Electric, we are proud to partner with our community's health care providers in their heroic and selfless efforts to preserve the health and lives of those affected by this devastating illness. We want to say "Thank You" for your bravery, courage and sacrifice. Not all heroes wear a cape. Some stand in harm's way, wearing scrubs.
