A few winter driving tips from Bob McCosh Chevrolet! 1: Clear snow off, including the roof, headlights/taillights and all windows! 2: Make sure that your tires and wiper blades are in good health. 3: Make sure tires are inflated to proper pressure during colder temperatures. This helps with traction... 4: Make sure you provide extra following distance, and more distance/time to brake and accelerate! 5: Allow time for engine to heat up before leaving with remote start! On EV’s you can remote start while plugged in to heat the cabin from power out of the wall, increasing range! Lastly, if you do get stuck in the snow there are a few things you might try. This includes turning on/off traction control, rocking the vehicle back and forth and clearing a path for the drive tires. We are here to help during these cold snowy days, and if you have any questions give us a call, text or email! #BobMcCosh www.bobmccosh.com

CALLING ALL DIESEL OWNERS!!! CALLING ALL DIESEL OWNERS!!! We have some reminders for you as these brutal temps push through Mid-Missouri! First off, GM recommends that during any cold temperature driving on heavy duty pickups that you use the winter-front bra as pictured to ensure that your diesel engine can get up to operating temp. If you do not have one, our parts department would be happy to talk with you about acquiring one. Preparation is key with diesel engines in co...ld temperatures! Second, we also recommend that customers use diesel anti-gel agent in their fuel system whenever any temperatures below 32 degrees are expected to prevent crystallization and gelling in the fuel system. This is very important that it is done before the cold temperatures hit for best results. This is not only for pickup trucks but any diesel fueled vehicles like our Cruze, Equinox and Terrain diesel models! Wind chill does also affect diesel gelling, so if possible when parked at night outside try to park it out of the direct wind. And of course, at this temperature it is important to plug in your engine block heater if equipped! Of course we are here to help with your diesel needs! As cold as it is today, we have received many calls about these issues and want to remind our owners to help you stay on the road! Call, text or email us with any questions you might have! #Duramax #BobMcCosh www.BobMcCosh.com
