Animal Science class has been busy preparing for Dolly's soon expected litter! She is due on Tuesday! They have been putting together the farrowing crate and to...day moved Dolly in! We plan on going live and giving multiple updates throughout the farrowing process! Once the piglets arrive, the class will be responsible for ear notching, tail docking, shot giving and castration! Stay tuned! See more

Kodiak is a puppy about 3-4 months old. His story started several weeks ago when he was discovered by a young man that tried to help him. Kodiak was a scared ...puppy that was most likely dumped, too young to be on his own and would not come to anyone that tried to win him over. The young man tried time and time again to befriend him but with no luck. Kodiak ran away and hid in fear when he approached him. Finally, on a very cold day with a lot of thought and preparation, this young man was able to secure him in a live trap and bring him to the shelter. This adorable fluff ball was scared, filthy dirty, full of worms, and would shake in fear when anyone approached him. He was used to fending for himself and was hesitant to trust anyone. Although still very guarded, he slowly began to let us be in the kennel with him. He seemed puzzled with all of the attention and we hoped for the best. We all fell madly in love with him. The young man that rescued him called and visited. He couldn’t get this little guy off his mind. Mom, Dad and sisters all agreed that they wanted to make Kodiak a part of their family. Everything happened for a reason and little Kody Bear (as we called him), went home today with the boy that did the right thing. We love this story for so many reasons.
