This Easter reminds us that there was a time when Jesus was isolated, separated from those he loved, alone, and bearing all the sins and sorrows of the world. Then he rose. He rose to give us eternal life. He rose so that we could share his message of love and hope. It is with a heart full of gratitude that we thank all of you who have supported the Care Service in spreading the message of love and hope to our community. We are teaming up with our partners at Saint Louis Crisis Nursery and The Child Center in promoting Child Abuse Awareness month by displaying blue pinwheels near our entrance. The blue pinwheels are a symbol for the healthy, happy, and full childhoods all children deserve. Plant a blue pinwheel in your yard and share a photo with us! #ChildAbuseAwarenessMonth #childabuseawareness

An urgent request for help from the Care Service: We need YOUR help to locate warehouse space needed immediately. The Loyal Order of the Squirrels collect, repair, and refurbish hundreds of bicycles that are given to local children during our annual Adopt-A-Family Program.... The Squirrels are losing the space they have been using to store and repair the bikes and are in immediate need of a new location. They are in need of a space that will provide them 4,000 5,000 sq ft most of the year and 7,000 sq ft Sept. Dec. They must be out of their current space within the next two weeks. If you are able to donate warehouse space for this special group and help make sure area children in crisis continue to receive bikes on Christmas morning please message us or send an email to [email protected]. We are running out of time to find a new space. Please help. We appreciate your help and support. Thank you!

Open tonight! Helping the homeless can be as simple as sharing this post! - The St. Charles, Lincoln and Warren Continuum of Care and area churches are activating the Emergency Weather Response TODAY (01/27/2021) to provide emergency shelter to anyone needing a safe place to sleep during tonight's cold temperatures. Anyone needing shelter can call the Emergency Weather Response Hotline at 636-395-0492 for information on available shelters.

The Care Service Food Pantry will be temporarily closed through February 8th due to a COVID exposure. No clients were exposed during Pantry distribution. The decision to temporarily close the Food Pantry is for the protection of our clients, volunteers, and staff. All other services will remain open. We thank you for your understanding. Excited to share! Hidden Lake Lights provided great entertainment and the donations collected will have an impact on homelessness and hunger in our area. Thank you Jacob!

Huge THANK YOU to National Cart Co for supporting our Food Pantry. The shopping carts dropped off this morning will replace the older ones we have been using that were getting to be in very bad shape and difficult to use. Our volunteers will be thrilled to have new carts to use while we continue curbside distribution and we can't wait until we are able to invite our clients back in so they can try them out for themselves in our Client Choice Pantry!
