Contact-Free Trick-or-Treating at Independence Manor! Join us for our Trick-or-Treat Trail on Friday, October 30th from 4:30 to 6:00. Seeing you in your costume will be such a TREAT for our Residents. They'll be watching for you!

Wagging at the Window. We invite you to bring your dog to do window visits at Independence Manor Care Center, 1600 S. Kingshighway, Saturday, July 18th. Simply drop by when it's convenient for you. Look for the windows with dog paws on them. If the curtains are closed, please call 816-833-4777 to let someone know the room number (also posted on the window) and that you would like to share your dog with the resident in that room. Please follow social distancing precautions and please do not take photographs or videos of the residents.

Saturday, July 11th is #NationalCheerUpTheLonelyDay ! We invite you to stop by Independence Manor Care Center (1600 S. Kingshighway, Independence, MO) to bring some cheer to our Residents. Here's how it will work. All the windows have room numbers on them. Everyone who is interested in a Cheery Visit will have a smiley face on their window as well. If the curtains are closed, please call 816-833-4777 to let someone know you're at a smiley face window and would like to do a w...indow visit with the resident in that room number. Need some ideas?... Play a game with them on their window - tic-tac-toe, hangman, etc. using dry-erase markers; Just wave and smile; Put a funny joke/riddle on a piece of paper (written or typed largely) and show it to them through their window. Wait a moment then show them the answer on another piece of paper; Do a dance; Juggle; Hula Hoop; Color a picture in advance and tape it to their window; Bring a baby; Bring a pet (Do you have one that does tricks?). Whatever you think may put a smile on someone's face! PLEASE SHARE

We invite our families and friends to bring your dog to our property on Saturday, June 13th to do window visits for our residents. They loved this the last time we did it! Just come anytime throughout the day. Only pets with current vaccinations and please remember to maintain social distancing and don't allow other people to touch your dog.

A big thank you to these CNA's and the ones I couldn't get pictures of. You are the back bone of our facility. Thank you for the long, hard hours you work. Than...k you for being there for our residents in these difficult times. When they cannot visit with their loved ones, it's you they look forward to seeing.
