We're back! After our short break, we are as ready as ever to help you solve your automotive problems. Our commitment to your health and safety has never been greater. Check out our new measures to help keep everyone safe when you bring your car in for service.

Hyde Park Service will re-open this Monday May 11th. Elliot and I met yesterday to discuss implementation of the necessary procedures we believe will keep everyone safe, and keep your car on the road. Because our waiting area is small, we are asking no more than one customer at a time be admitted to the lobby. We can greet you outside the office, or better yet, you may use the drop box in the east lot, then call to alert us of your car's arrival. If convenient, we can accept payment over the phone and leave your keys in the car. In the shop we will use disposable floor mats, and steering-wheel covers. Though we had hoped to re-open the shop tomorrow, I believe it will be in the best interest of customers and staff if Hyde Park Service remains closed until our city's efforts to control the spread of the virus prove effective. Friends and loyal customers: While we believe our experiment of closing the waiting area, and keeping a safe distance from the public has successfully kept you and us from Covid-19 contamination, it appears it is now time to take the next step, and close our doors temporarily. Friends and loyal customers: In an effort to reduce exposure to the virus, and keep our doors open for as long as possible, let's try a few new procedures. Firstly, unless you have an emergency, we won't accept walk-in customers. Our waiting room is closed to customers. We ask you to call for an appointment, park in the east lot, and use the key drop in the center door pictured below--even during regular business hours. You may pay over the phone or on PayPal, then we will le...ave your keys in the car. Secondly, we may be unavailable to help you with some routine or minor maintenance such as Missouri Vehicle Inspections. It can be frustrating arranging to get your car inspected, and we are sorry we couldn't accommodate everyone this past week. But thanks to Missouri Senate Bill 89, you will no longer need an inspection if your car is less than 10 years old, and has less than 150,000 miles on the clock. Let the welfare of the people be the supreme law!
