Ewing W. Knorp, age 102, passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Katy Manor in Pilot Grove, MO. He was born in Cooper County on October 10, 1918 to John and Jessie (Smith) Knorp. He married Eva Elaine Pettigrew on September 6, 1941. They were lifelong residents of Prairie Home where Ewing farmed with his brother Charles. He was the fourth generation to live on and work the land of his ancestors. Ewing was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Prairie Home where ...he served as a deacon and Sunday School Director for many years. He was active in community organizations and was board member of several, including Prairie Home Civic Club, Prairie Home Fire Association, Prairie Home School Board, and the Prairie Home Fair. In addition to his parents, Ewing was preceded in death by his wife of 74 years, Elaine, his brothers Charles and Dorsey Knorp, half siblings Tom Harris, Elmer, Bill, and Clara Knorp, Stella Sarman, his son-in-law, David Smith and step grandson, Aaron Newell. He leaves behind daughters, Sherryl Smith, Dana (Darrell) Newell all of Prairie Home, granddaughters Debbi Baker and Connie Smith of Kansas City, step granddaughter Asia Newell of Columbia, great granddaughter Hailei Baker also of Kansas City. Ewing worked hard all of his life and dedicated himself to family, community, and church. He loved being around people talking and telling funny stories. He was never at a loss for words and never met a stranger. That endeared him to so many who enjoyed his company. He loved to travel when he had time and opportunity and he never lost his love of motorcycles. His family loved him so much and will miss him and the endless stories about the people and events of Prairie Home and surrounding communities. A private family service will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. and live streamed on Howard Funeral Home Facebook page with burial to follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery. June Marshall, of Katy Manor, Pilot Grove, formerly of Boonville, went to be with the Lord on August 13, 2020. June was born July 20, 1933, in Boonville, to Helen Marie Kruse and John Henry Goodman. She married James W. Marshall on September 6, 1952. They had one daughter, Julie Anna, born May 5, 1957. In 1995, she married Joel C. Mead in Kansas City, Mo, at the Red Bridge Methodist Church. He preceded her in death, in May of 2004. She is survived by her daughter, Julie An...na Marshall Schupp and her husband Glenn, of Pilot Grove, Mo; one sister Joann Lowe and her husband Bill of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; two cousins, Betty Lou Stock and husband Tom of West Plains, Mo and Linda Robb of Fayette. She is also survived by a large number of nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews. June graduated from Boonville High School in 1951, and attended Central Methodist College in Fayette, Mo. She lived in Boonville until 1967, then at Blackwater until 1979. She worked at Kemper Military School from 1985 to 1995, in the business office. She was a life-long member of the Nelson Memorial United Methodist Church, Boonville. June was preceded in death by her mother and father. June enjoyed life; she loved her family, friends, gardening, and flowers, but most of all she loved her Brittany Spaniel dog, Abbee, who also preceded her in death. The celebration of life for June will begin at 2: p.m. Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Howard Funeral Home with visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Inurnment to follow in Walnut Grove. Mary Ann Wooldridge, 77, of Boonville, Missouri passed away peacefully at home on Good Friday, April 2, 2021. Mary Ann was born on September 16, 1943 the daughter of Leo Dueber and Mary Magdalene (Lang) Dueber. She graduated from Pilot Grove High School in 1961. Mary Ann was married to Jess Lee Wooldridge Jr. at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Boonville on August 8, 1970. In this union, two children were born, Gregory Harold and Denise Leann (Renato) Durham. Besides... her children, Mary Ann is survived by her sister, Joyce (Bill) Bryan, three granddaughters, Tessalie, Coralie and Evalie, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and some of the best friends a person could ask for. She is preceded in death by her parents. Although Mary Ann and Jess’ marriage was dissolved many years ago, they continued to be close and supportive of each other throughout the years. Jess was very involved during Mary Ann’s health difficulties and gave her great care. Mary Ann was an amazing cook and baker and often made desserts for friends, family, and co-workers. She was a major Chiefs and Royals fan. If a game wasn't on, then Elvis, The Rolling Stones or The Beach Boys would be playing as she loved music and dancing. She was a lover of animals large and small and regularly supported various organizations to help animals in need. Mary Ann will be missed by many and loved always. Susan (Davis) Wyatt, 54, of Boonville passed away Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis surrounded by her family. Visitation for Susan will be Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Howard Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Tim Fairley officiating. The second of two children, Susan was known ...for her love and compassion for family and friends. Susan was a natural born, take charge leader, who was always willing to do anything to assist friends and family. Susan was the family planner. A strong and independent person who was known professionally for a career in cellular sales. Susan was a loving mother, sister, daughter, nana and friend with a terrific smile and sense of humor. She will be greatly missed. Susan was preceded in death by her father Jerry Davis and son-in-law Kyle Lloyd. Eloise J. Einspahr, 86 of Boonville, MO passed away February 5, 2021 at her home. Eloise was born August 24, 1934 in Kearney, Nebraska to Ernest and Irma (Frederick) Reiter, one of seven children. She attended school at Lower Buckeye Valley, Nebraska and graduated from Kearney High School, Kearney, Nebraska in 1953. She was married to Glenwood Einspahr on October 25, 1953, her husband of 67 years, who survives of the home. She moved with her family to Boonville, MO in 197...0. She also resided in St. Louis and Poplar Bluff, MO before returning to Boonville for retirement. She enjoyed her screened in porch, watching birds and wildlife in her backyard, flower and vegetable gardening, being outdoors, cooking for large family gatherings, going for a drive, and being with her family. Other survivors include her children Berdon Einspahr (Suzanne), Delene Mitchell (Doug), Blaine Einspahr (Randa Rawlins), Britt Einspahr and Brock Einspahr, grandchildren including Ashley, Mason, Kristan, Alana, Liam, Trent, Taylor, Laynie and Ethan Einspahr, brother, Irving Reiter (Marie), brother-in-law Kenneth Beahm, sisters-in-law Kathy Reiter, Gwen Reiter, Germaine Casper and Jan Einspahr, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Stanley Reiter, Bruce Reiter, Larry Reiter, and sisters Carolyn Corlis and Pauline Beahm. There will be a private family funeral and burial. Ruth B. Langlotz, 87 of Prairie Home, Missouri passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021 at The Bluffs in Columbia, Missouri. Langlotz was born October 1, 1933 in ...California, Missouri, the daughter of Charles Simmons and Emma (Cram) Simmons. Ruth attended and graduated from California High School. She married William G. Langlotz October 5, 1952 in California, Missouri. She was a member of the Prairie Home United Methodist Church and a lifelong resident of Prairie Home Community. She worked at Wee Discount and Price Chopper (Dave’s Country Mart). Ruth enjoyed all of her children and grandchildren, crocheting, and socializing with her many friends. She loved going to her grandchildren’s events and attending the Prairie Home Fair. Ruth was also a fan of country music and loved dogs. She was loved and will be dearly missed. Ruth is preceded in death by her husband William Langlotz, parents, and siblings. Leslie A. Kahle, 62, of Boonville, Missouri passed away unexpectedly Saturday, January 30, 2021 in his home. Les Kahle was born on January 24, 1959 in Sumter, SC, the son of Glenn and Maurine Kahle. He spent most of his childhood in Iowa and Illinois. Les graduated high school from United Township in East Moline, Il. From there he went to the University of Iowa, earning a bachelor’s degree in accounting. While in Iowa City, Les started working for the McDonalds Corporation. ...Post-graduation he continued with them for many years, managing a restaurant, then overseeing the opening and managing of a second one. Les then moved to Boonville and began farming with his father Glenn and brother Kevin on the family farms. When Les was not out farming or working to improve the farms, he enjoyed watching college and professional sports, especially the Hawkeyes, Nascar and Indy Car racing. Being with family on holidays, notable events, and numerous vacations brought Les a lot of joy over the years. He will be greatly missed by his family and all that got to know him. Les is survived by his brothers, Norman and wife Renee Kahle of East Moline, IL and Kevin Kahle of Boonville, MO; one niece, Kaitlyn Kahle of Arlington, TX; and two nephews, Evan Kahle of Columbia, MO and Nathan Kahle of East Moline, IL. Preceding Les in death were his parents Glenn and Maurine Kahle. Jo Haller, 84, of Boonville passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020 at home with her family at her side. Arrangements are pending at this time. M. Jo Haller was born on 5/2/36 in Lisbon, MO to Bill and Dorothy Hayes Bishop. She attended school in New Franklin at the school her father helped build. She married Edward S. Haller on 12/26/53 in Boonville, MO. She served three terms on the Boonville City council and was passionate about her town. She enjoyed sports of all kin...ds particularly those her grandkids and great grandkids were involved in and she rarely missed a game. Her life centered around her family, and being one of ten siblings she and Ed hosted many celebrations and homecomings for the family for years, keeping them close. She loved to cook and was famous for her cinnamon rolls (the cookie jar was never empty either)! She was the matriarch of the family, and when sister Etta died was great support for Etta’s daughters, Vicki and Dawn. Jo worked in Boonville for many years at the Hotel Frederick, Holts Café, the Boonville Daily News and for Skeets Potter Trucking. She retired in 1998 from Shelter Insurance after 28 years of service and dedicated the next six years caring for a friend who had cancer. Jo was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Dorothy, sister Etta Guthrie and brothers William and Don. She is survived by husband Edward of 67 years and daughter Valerie June (Danny) Taft. Also surviving are brothers Lee (Barb), Bob (Sandy), and Jim (Marge); sisters Rosa Markolf, Wilma (Wayne) Baslee, and Kay Meler; grandchildren Crystal (Doug) Wilson and Seth Taft; great grandchildren Grant, Reagan, Riley, and Tucker Wilson and Max Taft; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Jo was dynamic, strong-willed and known for her tenacity, sense of humor, impeccable integrity and generosity. There was nothing she would not do for those she loved. Donald West, 87, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2020. Visitation for Donald will be held at Howard Funeral Home in Boonville, MO at 1 pm with the celebration of life at 2 pm on December 19, 2020. Burial will follow at the Old Lamine Cemetery. Donald Eugene West was born in Blackwater, MO on January 29, 1933, the son of Alfred and Marjorie (Wallace) West. After serving as a Sergeant in the US Army, Donald married Doris Hamm of Yates Center, KS, May 24, 1955. Their life to...gether began farming near Erie, KS. A skilled mechanic and welder, Donald operated a service station/auto repair business with his brother Pat in northwest Georgia and worked as a welder at General Electric in Rome GA and Stock & Thoma in Boonville MO. Later returning to agriculture, Donald was General Manager of Bell Fruit Farm for many years growing and packing apples shipped around the nation and peaches sold locally. Finally, using his skills as an instructor at the Boonslick Area Vocational School. A devoted Christian man, Donald was instrumental in beginning the Boonville church of Christ. Enjoying making people smile and playing and singing music with his family, his life is an example to all. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife Doris, son Lyle, his sister Delores Sears and his brothers Pat West and Doug West. He is survived by his son Bob West (Karen), grandchild Curtis West, daughter Marcy Grammer (David), grandchildren Cassie Kramer, Kyle Harvey, Madison Carroll, Jamison Grammer, Allison Hutcheson and son David West (Jeanette) grandchildren Heather Gauthier, Hillary West, Chantelle Shelley and several great grandchildren. Don Stevens passed away at Ashley Manor Nursing Home on November 28, 2020, where he had been a resident for a year. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on March 25, 1932, the son of Gail H. Stevens and Georgia Pierson. Don spent most of his life in Indianapolis, moved to Chicago area and then retired to Boonville, Missouri in 2000. Don married Barbara Ann Franks on June 25, 1952. A Celebration of Life will be held in January 2021 at Howard Funeral Home in Boonville. Exa...ct date and time will be announced at a later date. The family is encouraging family and friends to write down a memory of Don so it can be shared with everyone. In his earlier years Don served in the U.S. Merchant Marines. Don worked at Standard Brands and RCA in Indianapolis. When Don and Barbara lived in suburban Indianapolis, he was a member of the Lawrence Township Volunteer Fire Department. In Chicago, Don worked for Admiral Corporation, The Stiffel Company and Merrill Lynch. Don was a member of the American Mensa Society. Don was a member of the Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation and Jewish Community Center Association. Don’s passions were travel, biking, books, traditional music and his wife, Barbara Stevens. The Big Muddy Music Festival is what brought the Stevens’ to Boonville. They faithfully attended the annual Big Muddy Music Festival and are members of the Friends of Historic Boonville. Don is survived by his wife Barbara and daughter, Debbie Johnson and son, David Stevens. He has two grandsons: Jeremy Johnson and Patrick Stevens and four great-grandsons: Owen Johnson, Hale Johnson, Brady Stevens and Jamison Stevens. Ronnie A. Farris, 70, of New Franklin, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, November 29th, at Truman Medical Center Hospital Hill in Kansas City, Missouri. Graveside Services will be held at Sulphur Springs Cemetery Saturday, December 5th at 11 am., with Rev. Wayne Purvis officiating. Ronnie Farris was born in Higginsville, Missouri, on February 11, 1950, the son of Fra...nk Lester Farris and Pencie Gladys Childers. Ronnie enjoyed the simple pleasures of life; fishing along the Missouri River, watching and re-watching every western movie he could find, cheering on his favorite baseball team, playing cards, and telling jokes around the kitchen table. Ronnie was preceded in death by his wife Cora Lee Farris, his father Frank Lester Farris, and his mother, Pencie Gladys Childers (Shaw). He is survived by his sons Scott Farris, Joe Farris, and Timothy Farris, and by his daughter, Becky Farmer. Albert Leo Imhoff, 92, of Boonville passed away peacefully Saturday November 28, 2020 at his home surrounded by family. Visitation for Albert will be Wednesday, December 2 at S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church from 9:30 to 11:00 A.M., with Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 A.M., with Fr. Bill Peckman officiating. Burial will follow in the S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery with full military honors. Albert Leo Imhoff was born October 10, 1928 in Pilot Grove, ...MO., the son of Leo and Isabel (Smith) Imhoff. Albert graduated Pilot Grove High School and served in the U.S. Navy from 1950 to 1955 during the Korean Conflict. Albert married Patricia Lorraine Gipson on October 20, 1954 in Woodstock, Illinois. He was employed at the Boonville Post office for 25 and a half years and enjoyed farming. He was a member of S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Albert was a family man and enjoyed traveling with his children and grandchildren. Albert was preceded in death by his parents Leo and Isabel, brother, Robert Imhoff and granddaughter, Elizabeth Bruce. He is survived by his wife Patricia of the home, Sons; Russell (Cheryl), Tony (Michele), Philip (Lori) and Danny Joe (Deana) all of Boonville and daughter, Ruth Ann (Charlie) Bruce of Kansas City, MO. Also surviving are his brothers, James and Leonard of Boonville and sisters, Doris Stoecklein of Boonville, Bertha Johnston of Columbia, Pearl Holiday of Boonville and Martha Gundy of Silbey, MO.
