Hopewell Baptist Church

Church at Hopewell is canceled for tomorrow, Nov. 22nd due to the dramatically increasing numbers of COVID cases in our community & the number of church members who are currently being affected by quarantine. Future cancelations will be announced when they are decided. Be safe, pray for one another, & God Bless you.

With the positive COVID-19 cases increasing in our area the church wanted to repost this information as a reminder. Social distancing guidelines still need to be followed. 1. If you are sick, feeling ill, are running a fever or have been around anyone who is ill then we would ask that you stay home. 2. A distance of 6 feet should be between each attendee at all times with everyone spacing out in their seating through the sanctuary. Sitting with your own family group that y...ou live with is fine. 3. Please refrain from hugging or shaking hands. 4. If you have access to a mask or face covering then the Health Center highly suggests that you wear that. 5. Everyone should be practicing frequent hand washing & proper covering of any coughing or sneezing. 6. If you fall into a compromised health category we would ask that you weigh your risks to attend. Tomorrow will be our first Sunday back with Sunday School classes. We ask that everyone be prepared to continue to socially distance & to follow the CDC guidelines that we are all very familiar with by now. We are excited to start reintroducing aspects to our services & will also restart Wed night Bible Study this Wed night at 7.

Due to the Covid-19 virus there are still restrictions in place that we will continue to observe. We will not be using the hymnals or singing hymns because of the greater threat of germs being expelled into the air or left on the surface of the hymnal. This restriction will be observed through the month of June & our restructured music program will continue until July 5th - at which time we hope to go back to our previous music program for worship service. We will also not ...have Sunday School through the month of June & are hopeful to go back to Sunday School classes on Sunday July 5th. The offering plates will not be passed during service. Instead they are on the tables in the foyer for people to be able to drop their offering in without having to touch them. We are still following the social distancing rules of keeping 6 feet apart from other individuals outside of your household at all times. We are asking people to sit together with your immediate family if possible. Face masks are suggested if you have them. Please do not shake hands with each other. Cough into your elbows or cover your mouth if possible. Hand sanitizer is available. We will be having our 4th of July celebration. Our Wednesday night Bible Study will resume on Wed July 8th.
