High Point Community Chapel 11.05.2021

Tomorrow we are on after a few weeks of weather! Starting at 9am we have Bible Study, 10am service and afterwards the chili cook off. We hope to see y’all there!

High Point Community Chapel 29.04.2021

ANNOUNCEMENT: Services for Sunday, February 21st have been canceled due to the expected road conditions and inclement weather. The chili cook-off is postponed to Sunday, February 28th. Make those changes on the calendar and reach out to those who need to know. Stay safe and warm!

Apologies from the Crowson family for the delay in posting this video compared to our normal church time (10:00 a.m.) Due to inclement weather our services this Sunday (2/14/21) were canceled and our events postponed. However, the Word of God is still alive and well and no snow or cold can stop it from being shared or heard! (Thanks to technology) So, after a lot of prayer and conversation with our church family, we decided to give this technology thing a shot. Let us know your thoughts and if this is something there'd be an interest in seeing the church continue. We love y'all, God loves y'all, and Happy Valentine's Day!

Hey FB friends and family! If you were planning on going to the chili cook off this Sunday, it’s been postponed due to subzero temperatures and the inclement weather to Sunday February 21st.

High Point Community Chapel 12.04.2021

ANNOUNCEMENT: Hey everyone! Happy Wednesday! Due to the predictions of subzero temperatures this weekend, we will NOT be having church on Sunday, February 14th. We encourage everyone to open those Bibles and spend some time with the Lord on their own. The chili cook-off will be postponed as well. We will have our cook-off on February 21st. Please let anyone know who may be interested in coming that the date has changed. God bless and see you on the 21st!

Mary Ann and I were a little surprised at the snow this morning, but we managed to make it to church only to find out that only a couple of people also made it. We called church off. We have decided that as few as there are of us in our congregation, we will continue to offer services on Sunday morning. However, if you are feeling ill or are generally uncomfortable with attending, please feel free to stay at home, read your Bible and offer a prayer for our church and our country. Just remember "all things are possible with God." If you need to talk about any issue, please feel free to call me at home at 573-386-5786. Leave a message if I am not there, and I will call you back the same day. God bless each of you and our little church. Pastor Noel Crowson

It's that time of year! The annual Chili Cook-off will be held this Sunday. Everyone who wants to do so is to bring a pot of chili to be judged and later consumed by the congregation. While the judging is taking place, we will have Bible Study. It will be a busy day, but an enjoyable one. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy chili with the High Point Community Chapel congregation. Have a blessed weekend.

We did not have church last Sunday due to road conditions. We will have church this Sunday, the Good Lord willing, and it is the third Sunday so whoever is in charge of the Bible study, be prepared. Let's also remember those on our prayer list. See you Sunday.

Since the church services had to be called off last Sunday, we are trying again to have a Christmas "feast." We will have a pot luck dinner after services on Sunday, December 22 (the first day of winter!). Services are at 10:00 AM and feasting will begin at approximately 11:15. Pastor Noel will provide a Christmas ham and everyone else can bring something to enjoy with it. Hope to see you there. May God bless us all during this snowy weather and bring us together again for the celebration of His birthday. Have a blessed Christmas.

Although this weekend is deer season, don't forget this is the third Sunday and we will be having our Bible Study immediately after church services. Please bring some kind of finger food and enjoy the Christian fellowship while learning about the Bible. Also, a reminder that December 1 will be our annual tree decorating and carry-in meal.

We're having a special event on Sunday, October 6! We will have music, food, fellowship, food, and enjoy the beginnings of Autumn with a Fall Festival. We are providing the ham and asking everyone to bring a side dish. Come and enjoy the excitement that is a part of High Point Community Chapel.

Welcome to Hannah Grace Mathews, the newest member of High Point Community Chapel's congregation. We celebrate her birth and thank God for her safe delivery into the world. To further welcome her, we are planning a baby shower for Sunday, July 21, after services are over. Church members and guests are welcome to attend and shower Hannah with material gifts or a prayer blessing. Refreshments will be provided.

High Point Community Chapel will celebrate Easter with services at 8:00 AM, a brunch to follow and a small Easter egg hunt for our youngest members. High Point will furnish a ham for the brunch and anyone attending are asked to bring a side dish. Let's all pray for beautiful weather for this special day in our Christian lives.

Bob Vincent's niece called and has reserved the church for Saturday, February 9, at 1:00 PM for a Memorial Service for her Aunt. She has said that anyone wishing to attend, please feel welcome to do so. Pastor Noel Crowson will be officiating at the service and the ashes will be buried in the cemetery following the service.

Please pray for Chris Gilman, the son of David and Carol Gilman. He is at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis after having influenza A and then pneumonia. The combination caused his lungs to be dangerously damaged. The family needs lots of prayers at this time.

CHURCH CANCELLATION Pastor Noel and son, Chris, went out on a scouting mission to the Church and discovered that the main road has been graded and is clear. However, the driveway has only been packed down when the grader used the drive as a turn around area. He did not put his blade down and just packed the snow. Noel and Chris shoveled the walkway up to the church but they do not consider the area a safe place to be walking. There is no parking available except for the drive or the road. Having said all that, it has been decided reluctantly, to cancel church services again for tomorrow, January 20. Let us pray that the weather clears up and we have weather that is good enough for us to resume services on January 27. In the meantime, stay warm and safe and let us thank God for providing what we need most every day.

Remember there will be no services this Sunday, November 25. We hope everyone enjoys the holiday and takes some time to be with family and friends. God bless you all.
