Starting the 2021 farmers market season today at Farmers Market of he Ozarks in Springfield MO. We have lots of new elk products in the pipeline for this year in addition to all our regular cuts of elk meat, processed elk products (sausage-brats-jerky-snack sticks), dog chews, antler gift items, and velvet antler capsules. Five bred cows added to the herd today. Trying to get the numbers up a bit so we can keep up with the demand for our elk meat products and trophy bulls. Brings our herd up to 80. Hoping to have 25+ calves on the ground this spring.

Yesterday we cut all the smaller bulls. Today weening calves and preparing cows for AI process. So far only a few superficial injuries but none of us got killed

These three calves were born yesterday and all are boys. Seems like a year for boys as we have 7 so far and 3 girls. More to come.....

Here is JOURNEY and oh what a journey it has been for her. We had to step in and assist with her birth as she decided to come backwards. In the 10+ years of raising elk this was our first time having to pull a calf. All are doing great!

We moved 25 bulls into two new spring pastures this morning. They are like kids in a candy store!!

This little one is just an hour or so old and moving like a pro!
