The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office is currently accepting application for an administrative assistant. Job duties include, filing and maintaining records, issuing and renewing CCW permits, scheduling meetings and appointments, assist the Sheriff in maintaining financial records, working with the Circuit Courts to maintain inmate files, bonds and civil service papers, stocking office supplies, and assisting the public throughout the building. The ideal candidate should be ...proficient in Microsoft Office Financial Record Keeping Maintaining Files Organizational Skills Time management Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED with college credits preferred and must be free of felony convictions. Today, I was officially sworn into the office of Sheriff for my first term. The deputies and reserve deputies were also sworn in by Associate Circuit Judge Hemenway. I’m proud to call each of these guys Deputy Sheriff and thank them for the hard work they put to make the community a better place. I look forward to the future of this department and what it can offer Harrison County. -Sheriff Place
