A Turning Point is now operating a new program, The Guesthouse, at a second location. The Guesthouse provides a place for folks in crisis to access showers, laundry facilities, a hot meal, computers, and case management services. We are looking for volunteers to assist with this program on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11 am - 2 pm. The journey of faith is a lifelong process. It’s not something we graduate from or complete. Throughout that journey are milestones where we recognize & respond to the saving grace of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit that equips us for the journey. Confirmation is one of those significant milestones. When youth are confirmed, they profess their faith in Jesus Christ and commit to continuing to grow in that faith for the rest of their lives. Youth in 8th12th grad...e are eligible for confirmation. To prepare, youth meet in weekly groups for 10 weeks. We seek to provide an atmosphere of listening, support and encouragement. We want youth to know that their faith journey and their story are truly unique. Both have tremendous importance. We try to keep class sizes small to encourage relationship-building and learning. February is the month for love, but love can look different to different people. Whether you’re a single person, a couple or a family, we’re constructing a kit for you with fun activities for the month of February. Each kit will include simple activities, as well as some scriptures and devotionals to remind us where love really begins: with Jesus!
